Schellman Jumps 10 Spots In Accounting Today’s Top 100 Firms Rankings

Tampa, FL, April 15, 2022 – Tampa-based Schellman, a leading provider of attestation and compliance services, is proud to announce that we have once again been named one of the largest CPA firms in the United States by Accounting Today (AT).

This is our 5^th consecutive year among the AT rankings, having steadily risen since our debut at 89^th in 2018 to now placing at 55th in 2022 after we spent 2021 at 65th. Within the overall 100 firms, we also ranked as a pacesetter for growth percentage with our 30%+ landing us in the Top 10 for that subcategory. Schellman also came in among AT’s Top 5 firms for employee-to-revenue ratio and fastest growth.

Not only are we the youngest organization on this list, but Schellman is even more unique even among the Top 100 firms. We are the only ones who do not provide traditional accounting services like financial statement audits or tax preparation. Rather, we specialize in System and Organization Controls (SOC) examinations, as well as ISO, PCI, HITRUST, FedRAMP, and privacy compliance services. As one of the first CMMC authorized C3PAOs, we continue to expand our federal footprint, as well as our presence in other relevant areas like cybersecurity.

Part of that growth will be facilitated through our relationship with Lightyear Capital, who we partnered with in October 2021. Though the Accounting Today rankings are a fine testament to our upward trajectory, we will strive for more, including through the development of our suite of services, a perpetual effort to improve our work environment for clients and team members, and a continued emphasis on diversity.

After all, Schellman was also among only nine firms within the Top 100 that are led by women. While honored by the distinction of her position, our own CEO, Avani Desai, has recommitted the firm to new goals.
